I’m Katie, Welcome!
Growing up, I wanted to either work for the FBI or be a marine biologist.
But the universe apparently had other plans, and I’m grateful it did.
I started out in early education, running tutoring centers for kids PK-10th grade. It was here I cut my teeth on all things management as a bright-eyed 22 year old.
After 4 years, I thought, “what am I doing? I studied Marketing!”
So I joined Yelp as their first Account Manager, supporting all the site’s advertisers.
Within 3 months, I’d proven the concept of an Account Manager and I was asked to quickly hire, train, and manage a team of AMs.
That started a 10 year journey at Yelp. Scaling Customer Success, leading global training efforts, and being the go-to with product and ad delivery.
I was ready to get back to building and I joined Opendoor, a real estate tech company in San Francisco. As their Head of Learning & Development, my first priority was management and leadership development.
But there was an inner voice calling for a change.
In 2018, I had my son and two things became clear to me:
I wanted to be a mom who could pick up their child from school
I wanted to focus on truly energizing work
In 2020, I founded Endurance Management Coaching as I began my journey towards coaching certification.
By January 2021, I’d devised my exit from corporate work and doubled down on becoming self-employed so I could be the mom I wanted while maximizing my energizing work.
Now I work with individuals and organizations on what I love most: people development. I couldn’t be more grateful to be able to do this work.
My Superpowers
I’m best known for two things:
Leading impactful, high-performing, caring teams
Making difficult conversations less difficult
My jam is teaching managers and leaders how to give feedback that inspires change and ultimately drives business results. (You can get a glimpse of how I teach Kickstarting Fearless Feedback with this webinar recording.)
Developing Managers & Leaders
I work with folks in two core capacities:
Live group trainings and workshops
1:1 Leadership & Executive Coaching
Women in Leadership
Each year, I host an in-person leadership retreat for women.
An opportunity for women to be in community to strengthen their skills and confidence driving and influencing business results.
